KUWAIT CITY, July 12: According to security sources, three assistant undersecretaries at the Ministry of Interior submitted their retirement requests Thursday morning after reaching the legal retirement age. The sources identified the retiring assistant undersecretaries as - Head of the State Security Service Major General Khaled Al-Shanfa, Assistant Undersecretary for Special Security Affairs Major General Abdullah Saffah, and Assistant Undersecretary for Traffic Affairs Major General Yousef Al-Khudda. They affirmed that the Ministry of Interior will work on filling the resulting leadership vacancies, especially after the retirement of Undersecretary Lieutenant General Sheikh Salem Al-Nawaf in May and the appointment of Major General Ali Al-Adwani as the acting Undersecretary.
