KUWAIT CITY, Dec 10: The third edition of the Arabian Gulf Padel Cup for both men and women kicks off tonight at the Regency Hotel and will run until next Sunday. This year’s tournament holds special significance as all six Gulf countries are participating: Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Oman, Bahrain, and the host nation, Kuwait.

In the women’s competition, four teams will compete, representing Saudi Arabia, Oman, the UAE, and Kuwait. The Qatari team claimed the title in the first edition, while the UAE team emerged victorious in the second. In the women’s category, Oman won both the first and second editions. Omar Al-Zanki, Chairman of the Kuwaiti Padel Club, expressed his pride in hosting the Gulf Cup, wishing success to all teams. He emphasized that the competition’s atmosphere fosters Gulf solidarity and cohesion. Al-Zanki acknowledged the growing level of competition in the Gulf region and predicted a tough battle for the top positions, making it difficult to forecast the champions in both the men’s and women’s events.
