The elevator companies warned for risking lives of Kuwaitis and Expats

KUWAIT, May 19: The General Fire Department warned elevator companies against violating the terms of the licenses granted to them and volunteering to save those stuck in elevators which endangers the lives of citizens and expats, stating that the fire department is carrying out its duties in rescue operations of those stuck inside the elevators.


This statement was issued by the KFSD today, Tuesday, after and advertisement published by some companies appeared on social media which offered to volunteer to save those who get stuck in the elevators during total or partial curfew period.

KFSD will not tolerate any company that does not abide by the terms of the license granted to it within the limits of periodic maintenance according to the contracts concluded with clients, stressing that whoever exceeds that exposes himself to legal accountability.

The Fire Department stated that through its qualified servicemen and its centers located all over the country they fulfill the duties entrusted with the rescue operations of those stuck inside the elevators through the emergency phone number (112). (KUNA)
