FRANCE, June 3: Pop sensation Taylor Swift showed her love and appreciation for her dedicated fans during a rainy performance at the Groupama Stadium in Lyon, France, on Sunday, June 2. Despite the downpour, Swift's fans continued to dance and sing along, prompting the singer to express her admiration for their unwavering support.
In a video shared by a fan page on X (formerly known as Twitter), Swift acknowledged the rain and praised her fans for their enthusiasm. "You guys are absolute champions and heroes for dancing even harder when it started raining," she remarked from her spot by the piano, which was adorned with moss.
Swift, who is currently on the European leg of her Eras Tour, expressed her gratitude to her overseas fans for their warm welcome. Addressing the crowd in French, she offered assistance to a fan before praising their lively energy. "We have to take care of these crowds because you're just the best and you just dance so wildly and sing so loudly," she said.
The 34-year-old singer also took a moment to celebrate Pride Month during the show, sending well wishes to the audience in Lyon and performing her hit song "You Need to Calm Down" amidst flashing rainbow lights and enthusiastic fan participation.
Following her performance in Lyon, Swift is scheduled to perform another show on Monday, June 3, before continuing her tour in the U.K., with multiple concerts planned in England, Scotland, Wales, and Dublin, Ireland.
This heartwarming display of gratitude from Swift comes after she expressed her love for her fans in Madrid, Spain, where she performed two "magical nights." Taking to Instagram, Swift wrote, "I LOVE YOU FOREVER MADRID!!! No ability to convey my thoughts other than to just YELL that."
