Syrian swindles a Kuwait to the tune of KD 5,000

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 9: A Kuwaiti has filed a complaint with the Ahmadi police accusing an unidentified Syrian of cheating him to the tune of KD 5,000 after persuading him to set up a restaurant, reports Al-Rai daily. According to the complainant he gave the Syrian the money to begin initial work on the restaurant but after receiving the money, the suspect allegedly disappeared and switched off his cellphone.
