KUWAIT CITY, April 1: The Assistant Undersecretary for Security and Criminal Affairs at the Ministry of Interior Major-General Abdulhameed Al-Awadhi has ordered the deportation of a Syrian student who is accused of posting photos of Kuwaiti students with offensive titles, reports Al-Anba daily.
The daily added, the deportation ordered was signed after it was proved that the suspect was the one who posted the photos and put captions for the pictures.
Meanwhile, the official spokesperson at the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training Fatma Al-Enezi said the disciplinary committee formed by the Faculty of Nursing has recommended the dismissal of students who posted the offensive pictures on the website.
However, according to Al-Shahed daily one of the students cried during interrogations and pleaded not to be deported saying her future will be destroyed. According to reliable sources the students are about to be graduated after spending five years at the faculty and will be eligible to work as nurse.
1m Egyptian pounds seized: Customs officers at the Cairo International Airport have seized one million Egyptian pounds from a passenger before the latter took a flight to Kuwait, reports Al-Qabas daily. Sources at the airport said, a customs officer suspected the passenger because his behavior was abnormal. The money was found neatly stacked in one of the bags. The passenger said he was carrying the money to one of his relatives in Kuwait for medical treatment.
