Syrian, Egyptian, and Asian nationals arrested for residency trafficking

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 8: The General Department of Residence Affairs Investigations, through its Search and Investigation Department, has arrested a gang comprising individuals of Syrian, Egyptian, and Asian nationalities involved in trading residency permits, forging official documents, and facilitating the acquisition of residency in exchange for money.

In a press statement, the Ministry of Interior reported that the accused had transferred workers' residencies in the country to a specific company. Following search and investigation efforts, it was uncovered that the company had brought in workers for fees ranging between 700 and 1,000 Kuwaiti dinars per worker.

All necessary legal actions were taken against the suspects and the company owner, with the case being referred to the competent authorities for further proceedings.
