KUWAIT CITY, Feb 22: The immigration officers at the Kuwait International Airport have foiled an attempt by an unidentified Syrian couple to leave the country on forged Spanish passports, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added the arrest came after the airport security sources received a tip from an unidentified source that the couple with the help of one of the airport employees was planning to leave for London on the forged Spanish passports although they carried the Bulgarian travel documents. Following the information, the authorities put the employee under surveillance and caught him in the act after stamping the two passports. The trio – the Syrian couple and the employee — has been referred to the authorities.

Selling used stamps: Personnel from the Criminal Investigations Department have arrested an Asian porter for recycling and selling revenue stamps, reports Al-Shahed daily. Police have seized from the man’s car a large number of recycled stamps and handed him over to the concerned authority for further interrogation.
