LOS ANGELES, Aug 31: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are poised to become Hollywood’s next major power couple, with their engagement already generating buzz in the entertainment industry.

Both are successful in their own right — Swift as a billionaire global superstar and Kelce as a Super Bowl–winning tight end — but their union is expected to elevate Kelce’s presence in Hollywood.

With speculation that this will be his final NFL season, the Kansas City Chiefs player is reportedly eyeing opportunities beyond football. According to Page Six, Kelce has been taking Hollywood meetings. “Taylor makes him more powerful in Hollywood,” a source told the outlet. “It makes him more relevant — especially when putting him in a movie means that Taylor is walking your red carpet.”

Page Six also reported that Kelce “has been exploring several things,” including a potential acting project with Curb Your Enthusiasm executive producer Jeff Shaffer. The 35-year-old athlete is said to be looking at a transition into TV and film once his playing career ends.

Kelce’s profile has risen sharply since he began dating Swift in August 2023. In 2024, he and his brother Jason Kelce signed a lucrative three-year deal with Amazon’s Wondery for their New Heights podcast. Wondery CEO Jen Sargent credited the show’s massive popularity to the Kelce brothers’ cultural impact. She told Variety that New Heights had become “a cultural phenomenon” because the Kelce brothers are “in that cultural zeitgeist.”

Swift, meanwhile, continues to dominate the music industry and may be adding a long-awaited milestone to her career. There are rumors she could headline the Super Bowl halftime show in February 2026, though no official announcement has been made. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has expressed support for Swift’s presence in the sport.

“Obviously, it creates a buzz, it creates another group of young fans, particularly young women, who are interested in seeing why she is going to this game, why she is interested in this game,” Goodell said at a Feb. 5, 2024, Super Bowl press conference. “Besides Travis, she is a football fan, and I think that’s great for us.”
