KUWAIT CITY, Jan 29: The General Traffic Department carried out a surprise campaign yesterday in the vicinity of the Friday Market targeting vehicles violating the security and durability conditions, reports Al-Anba daily. On the other hand, the traffic sector launched a qualitative traffic campaign targeting garages and workshops that install parts in the vehicles that emit loud noises, and during the campaign, the power supply to 63 garages was disconnected inside the Sulaibiya Industrial City. Participating in the campaign, were officers and non-commissioned officers from the traffic sector and inspectors from the Public Authority for Industry, which resulted in the issuance of 780 traffic violations of various kinds, in addition to placing stickers on 700 neglected vehicles, in addition to seizing 4 vehicles reported stolen, and arrested 3 violators of residence law.
