KUWAIT CITY, Dec 3: A member of the Supreme Advisory Committee for Virus Control and a member of the ‘COVID-19’ vaccination committee, Dr Khaled Al-Saeed, said the first batch of the vaccine that will arrive soon includes vaccinating 5 percent of the Kuwaiti population and the second 20 percent.
Dr Al-Saeed said in a press statement the first batch of the vaccine will be given to the front-row workers of the health sector, the elderly and patients with chronic diseases. He pointed out the vaccination will not be given to those under the age of 18 and pregnant women.
He said the vaccination will be made available through prior reservation via an application that will be activated after the arrival of the vaccine. Dr Al-Saeed indicated the elderly and those with chronic diseases will receive two doses 3 to 4 weeks apart, after which a certificate will be issued stating the person has received the vaccine.
