KUWAIT CITY, May 7: The Acting Director of the Meteorology Department, Dharar Al-Ali, announced that weather maps indicate continued strong winds in the coming days, with activity expected to begin gradually on Wednesday morning and persist through Saturday.
Speaking to KUNA on Tuesday, Al-Ali stated that daytime wind speeds are forecast to exceed 55 kilometers per hour, likely causing a reduction in horizontal visibility, particularly in open areas.
He noted that wind speeds will slightly ease during nighttime hours, with gusts reaching around 40 kilometers per hour in some regions, especially in desert areas.
Al-Ali cautioned motorists about poor visibility and advised seafarers to be wary of high waves, which are expected to rise above six feet.
He urged citizens and residents to stay updated on weather conditions by following the Meteorology Department’s official website, mobile application, and social media channels.
