The same sources said the Council will examine a detailed report compiled by the Interior Ministry on members of the cell who were arrested by the Kuwaiti authorities at the request of Egyptian Interpol.
The sources pointed out that the government is currently looking at this security file and charity work from more than axis angle to control the situation and protect Kuwait from the activities of sleeper cells or suspicious elements to preempt criminal activities and arrest suspicious elements of put behind bars the accused if it is found they are involved in cases affecting the security of the country, irrespective who they are – from fraternal or friendly countries.
As for the government outlook towards some charities after the arrest of the cell members, the sources pointed to concerted efforts to cleanse charity work and to distance it from being politicized, in coordination with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor to develop controls on the transfer of funds to suspicious bodies.
The sources added there is a move by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to follow up the process of providing assistance to some countries.
