KUWAIT CITY, May 9: Minister of Public Works and State Minister for National Assembly Affairs Dr Ali Al-Omair declared that the periodic reports to the Cabinet concerning the public funds indicate the use of transparency and the steps taken to rectify the current economic situation of the country, reports Al-Rai daily.

He said top officials of the ministry recently held a meeting with the parliament’s Priorities Committee during which they discussed the recommendations submitted following the grilling of former minister of Public Works Abdulaziz Al- Ibrahim, and the projects executed by the ministry.

Dr Al-Omair revealed that the committee has given the ministry one month grace period for responding to the presented questions. He indicated that the ministry will soon rectify the errors that caused the bitumen to become loose, whether it is related to the mixture, supervision or activities of contractors.
