Kuwait City, June 12: Kuwait Telecommunications Company – stc, a world-class digital leader providing innovative services and platforms to customers, announced its role as a main sponsor of the graduation ceremony honoring students with physical disabilities for the third consecutive year. The ceremony was held in the presence of Mansour Al-Dhafiri, Assistant Undersecretary for Special and Specific Education, Mahmoud Abdel-Rida, acting Director of Special Education Schools Administration and the presence of several GCC ambassadors in Kuwait. stc’s sponsorship of the ceremony falls under the educational “upgrade” initiative which was launched as part of the educational pillar defined within the Company’s extensive corporate social responsibility (CSR) framework. 

Following its support of various graduation ceremonies and platforms that promote education, stc played an active role in the graduation ceremony by having Fahad Al Ali, Chief Technology Officer of stc and Acting CEO at e – Portal Holding (a subsidiary of stc Kuwait) deliver an inspiring and motivational speech for the graduates. The ceremony was also attended by executives from stc, including Danah AlJasem, General Manager of Corporate Communications at stc. During the ceremony, 130 graduates with physical disabilities were honored amongst their proud families, friends and teachers for their hard work and relentless dedication throughout the school year.

Addressing the graduates, Fahad Al Ali, Chief Technology Officer of stc and Acting CEO at e – Portal Holding highlighted the importance of education and its role in setting the trajectory for the years to come, emphasizing the invaluable contributions that students can make to society through gained knowledge and experiences. He said, “You have taken on an unforgettable journey that will last with you forever. Despite the challenges you have faced, you have shown that with determination and support, you can achieve all the goals that you have set out to achieve.”

Al Ali added, “Today, we not only celebrate your academic achievements, but the hard work and relentless effort that has brought you to this moment in time. On behalf of stc, I would like to say that we are proud to witness what you have collectively achieved. That is why we are keen to support initiatives that empower individuals and foster a more inclusive community. We believe that your unique perspectives and talents will drive innovation and create positive change in our society.”

Al Ali continued, "As you move forward, remember that your journey does not end here. It is just the beginning of new challenges and opportunities. The skills and resilience you have developed will serve you well in all your future endeavors. Now you will begin a new chapter in your life, as you look to continue your educational journey. We believe in your potential to achieve great things and to lead with innovation and compassion.”

Al Ali concluded, “As you step into the next phase of your lives, remember that the future is in your hands. Your potential is limitless, and stc will continue to support you every step of the way. Congratulations on your achievements, and may you continue to inspire us all with your courage and dedication. Always strive to be the best version of yourselves, and never let any obstacle deter you from your goals. The journey may be challenging, but the rewards are immeasurable.”

Following the speech, graduates were recognized for their academic excellence. As a gesture of appreciation for their performance, stc distributed gifts as a token of appreciation. This year's graduation ceremony was a remarkable milestone as it united students from 12 different schools in Kuwait, as part of the Ministry of Education's initiative to create a shared platform for celebrating their success.

Commenting on stc’s sponsorship of the ceremony, Danah AlJasem, General Manager of Corporate Communications at stc, said, “We are truly proud to witness the level of academic excellence these students managed to achieve through nothing but hard work, dedication, and a will to succeed.
