KUWAIT CITY, Sept 2: The Criminal Court has refused to release the man accused of the premeditated murder of his wife in Al-Mutlaa desert on the first day of Eid Al-Fitr. The court adjourned the hearing on the case until Sept 22 for the closing arguments. Attorney Abdul Mohsen Al-Qattan, lawyer for the victim’s heirs, filed a civil claim of KD5,001 against the defendant as compensation for the damages caused by the crime. The Public Prosecution charged the defendant with premeditated murder of his wife on March 30, as he was determined to take her life when he lured her to an unknown location after she boarded his vehicle. He then stabbed her in the chest and killed her, as per the autopsy report. The prosecution confirmed in its report that the incident has the elements of premeditated murder, demanding the maximum penalty for the defendant
