The Kuwait Football Association president greets one of the participating teams.

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 3: Three new clubs—Sporty, Al-Jazeera, and Al-Shamiya—will compete in the Zain First Division League for the new season, marking their debut in the competition. They join the five established clubs: Al-Sulaibikhat, Al-Sahel, Burgan, Al-Yarmouk, and Khaitan.

The league draw was held, with the competition organized into three groups and the first round scheduled to kick off on September 14.

Al-Jazeera, founded earlier this year, already participated last season in the Amir Cup and the Crown Prince Cup.

The three new clubs have met the conditions and standards set by the Kuwait Football Association, and their registration was approved by the Department of Fatwa and Legislation. It was clarified that the clubs will not receive any financial support.
