KUWAIT CITY, Nov 11: The Kuwait Sports for All Federation has announced the launch of a padel team championship, to be held from November 14 to 22, as part of its ongoing efforts to promote community sports and encourage active participation across all age groups.

The organizing committee has set four categories for the event—Open Men’s, Women’s, Over-40, and Under-16—to provide greater opportunities for participation and skill development. The tournament, structured around team competition, aims to boost engagement in sports and enhance players’ abilities through spirited and inclusive play.

Matches will be hosted at the Padel Academy courts at the Regency Hotel, which have been prepared to meet official technical standards. A dynamic, competitive schedule has been designed to offer spectators an exciting experience featuring high-level performances.

Federation President Faisal Al-Maqseed explained that the championship aligns with the federation’s 2024–2025 season plan, which features a range of community sports initiatives promoting health, fair play, and team spirit. He added that the growing popularity of padel in Kuwait underscores the importance of such events in spreading sports culture, reinforcing the idea of sports as a way of life, and expanding participation across all ages and skill levels.
