KUWAIT CITY, Sept 11: Some employees of the Football Association will not receive their salaries from the General Sports Authority starting from next month. This is according to a letter from the authority to the federation, which explained that the authority’s budget for the fiscal year 2023-2024 has been approved by the Ministry of Finance and does not include the salaries of those employees.

The letter said that the authority will stop paying the salaries of 12 employees from November 1, 2023, and that the federation can pay them from its own budget if it wants, but the authority will not be liable for any financial obligations or shortfalls. The list of employees whose salaries were suspended includes Yousef Al-Thuwaini, Saud Al-Mujamd, Jarrah Al-Ateeqi, Abdul Rahman Al-Dawoud, and Youssef Al-Fadhli, who work in various positions related to the national teams and referees.
