KUWAIT CITY, Oct 22: Two rescue police officers were taken to Mubarak Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries when a bus collided with the patrol vehicle they were riding in while on duty. The patrol vehicle was damaged and the Asian bus driver was detained at Salwa Police Station on charges of causing injury and damaging public property. A security source stated that the officers, while stopping their patrol vehicle, were surprised when a bus collided with them. Investigations revealed that the bus was speeding and one of its tyres burst, leading to a steering malfunction that caused the unintended collision with the patrol vehicle.
