Dr. Youssef Al-Awadi

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 18: The Kuwait Special Olympics will honor Dr. Youssef Al-Awadi for receiving the 2025 Global Golisano Health Award, one of the most prestigious recognitions under the International Special Olympics Healthy Leadership Program. The award will be presented during the opening ceremony of the Third Health Screening Program on October 22 at the Boulevard, where 150 athletes with intellectual disabilities will receive health screenings across eight medical specialties.

Rehab Boursali, National Director of Special Olympics Kuwait, congratulated Dr. Al-Awadi, emphasizing that this global recognition highlights his remarkable contributions to athletes with intellectual disabilities. She praised his efforts in promoting equal access to health and fitness services, leading community and dental health initiatives, and organizing local, regional, and international programs to enhance healthcare opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
