Social and psychological guidance centers reopen for student support

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 21:  The Ministry of Education announced Sunday, the resumption of work in social, psychological, and family guidance centers within the educational districts. These centers aim to provide awareness programs and consultations to a diverse range of students who require psychological and social guidance.

Bader Al-Enezi, Director of the Department of Social and Psychological Services at the Ministry, stated in a press release that these centers offer services in the evening, operating two days a week. Some centers operate from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., while others operate from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Al-Enezi pointed out that the working hours of the Family Guidance Center, affiliated with the Department of Social and Psychological Services in the General Administration of the Ahmadi Educational District, the center in the Jahra Educational District, as well as the Capital Center located at Rawdat "Ahad" and the Hawalli center located at Rawdat "Abdulaziz Al-Shahin," will be on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Additionally, the center in the General Administration of the Farwaniya Educational District, located at Aqaba Bin Amer Intermediate School for Boys, will operate on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. The center in the General Administration of the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Educational District, located on the ninth floor of the educational district, will operate on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during the same hours.

It is worth noting that these centers are staffed by a distinguished group of experienced psychological and social specialists from the Ministry's Department of Social and Psychological Services. They contribute to providing the necessary assistance for students facing psychological, social, or academic challenges and work towards resolving them.
