KUWAIT CITY, Nov 11: Minister of Social Affairs Saad Al-Kharaz rejected a proposal to increase the stipend for married students from KD 559 to KD 700, claiming that that this will open door for agitation to review all other social aid and will in turn become an added burden on the state budget, reports Al-Rai daily.
In response to the proposal submitted by MPs Khalil Abdullah, Adnan Abdul-Samad, Awdah Al-Ruwai’e, Ahmad Al-Fadhl and Khalid Al-Shatti, the minister said the proposal required comprehensive of financial implications, stressing that it could also lead to review of other social aid in entirety to ensure equity
