KUWAIT CITY, Nov 28: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced the closure of 27 shops for violating Law No. 10/1979 after seizing a number of counterfeit goods and accessories in addition to commercial fraud.
The Ministry of Commerce said in a press release its inspection teams seized, during their regular inspection tours, a number of shops that were selling counterfeit goods, in violation of local and international laws which is equal to violation of international property rights.
The Ministry explained the owners of the shops have been referred to the concerned authorities for necessary action. The Ministry affirmed its inspectors will continue in their campaigns to ensure the health of consumers and to control the spread of counterfeit products.
