KUWAIT CITY, May 6: President of the Kuwaiti and Asian Aquatics Federations Sheikh Khaled Al-Badr Al-Sabah affirmed that Kuwait is steadily progressing towards reclaiming its position in continental and international sports under the guidance of the political leadership, which calls for continued efforts and dedication to restore the former glory of Kuwaiti sports.
In a press release, Sheikh Khaled extended a warm welcome to Their Excellencies, Highnesses, and the heads of the Gulf Olympic Committees, as well as the participating delegations in the upcoming Gulf Olympic Committees meeting to be hosted by Kuwait next Sunday.
The meeting aims to enhance integration, create consensus, and facilitate the exchange of expertise, all of which will contribute to the ongoing development of the Gulf sports system.
Sheikh Khaled also extended a warm welcome to the Kuwaiti guests, as well as the members of the Executive Office and the General Assembly of the Olympic Council of Asia, who are in Kuwait to attend the upcoming meeting of the Executive Office and the General Assembly of the Olympic Council of Asia.
He stated that the presence of prominent Gulf, continental, and international sports figures in Kuwait during these events marks a distinguished sporting event that will play a major role in Kuwait's efforts to restore its sporting glory and achieve further successes.
He expressed his gratitude to the president and members of the Kuwait Olympic Committee and the Olympic Council of Asia for their efforts in hosting the meetings, and wished all attendees a pleasant stay in their second homeland, Kuwait.
