Sheikh Jaber Bridge Operation Nets Wanted Individuals and Traffic Violators

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 25: In line with the directives of His Excellency the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahd Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, and as part of the Ministry of Interior’s ongoing efforts to uphold the rule of law and strengthen traffic safety across the nation’s roads, multiple security departments carried out an extensive security and traffic campaign on Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah Bridge on the evening of Friday, October 24, 2025, continuing through to the early hours of Saturday, October 25, 2025.

The coordinated operation was conducted under the direct supervision of Major General Hamed Manahi Al-Dawas, Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs, with the participation of several senior officials, including Brigadier Abdullah Al-Ateeqi, Head of the Traffic and Operations Sector, and Brigadier Anwar Al-Yatama, Head of the Human Resources and Information Technology Sector, along with several other security leaders and field officers.

The large-scale campaign, which aimed to deter violations, apprehend offenders, and reinforce law enforcement visibility, yielded significant results:

  • One individual was arrested for violating residency and labor laws.
  • Four absconders were apprehended.
  • Three wanted individuals were arrested.
  • Three wanted vehicles were seized.
  • One person in an intoxicated state was referred to the competent authorities.
  • 13 vehicles and 5 motorcycles were impounded and transferred to the vehicle impoundment garage.
  • Six violators were referred to precautionary detention.
  • A total of 618 various traffic violations were recorded.

The Ministry of Interior reaffirmed its commitment to conducting regular security and traffic campaigns across Kuwait’s main roads, bridges, and vital locations. These operations are designed to enforce the law, curb dangerous driving behaviors, and protect the safety of all road users.
