Sheikh Fahad leads committee meeting on revoking Kuwaiti citizenship

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 18: The Higher Committee for the Establishment of Kuwaiti Citizenship convened on Thursday under the chairmanship of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah.

During the meeting, the committee decided to revoke and withdraw Kuwaiti citizenship from several individuals, pending approval by the Cabinet.

According to a press statement, the cases involved loss of citizenship due to dual nationality, withdrawal of citizenship certificates based on fraud and false statements, including forgery, as well as withdrawal in cases deemed necessary for the higher interests of the country.

The committee’s decisions aim to uphold the integrity of Kuwaiti citizenship regulations and national interests.
