TUNIS, Aug 24: Sheikh Ahmed Al Jaber, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Tennis Federation, met with Tunisian Minister of Youth and Sports Kamal Daqish during his visit to Tunisia for the closing ceremony of the Arab Championship for juniors and junior girls. The event, held at the Marsa Club courts in Tunis, concluded with the crowning of the tournament's winners.

During their meeting, Sheikh Ahmed Al Jaber and Minister Daqish explored opportunities to enhance sports cooperation, particularly in the field of tennis. Sheikh Ahmed expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and hospitality extended by Minister Daqish. He also acknowledged the minister’s support for the Arab Tennis Federation’s activities and his enthusiasm for hosting the Arab Championship for juniors and junior girls annually in Tunisia.

The Minister commended the high level of participation in the tournament, reflecting the passion of Arab youth for tennis and the commitment of national federations to youth development. He also unveiled a plan to introduce tennis into schools across Tunisia, aiming to broaden the sport's reach and participation. Sheikh Ahmed Al Jaber praised this initiative and extended his best wishes to Tunisia for continued success and excellence in tennis. He highlighted the achievements of Ons Jabeur, describing her as "the pride of Arab sports and an inspiration to all Arab female players," and commended Dr Salma Al-Moulhi, Vice President of the International Tennis Federation and President of the Tunisian Tennis Federation, for her significant contributions to advancing tennis both within and outside Tunisia.
