KUWAIT CITY, Aug 22: The seventh batch of Pakistani medical and nursing staff will arrive in the country soon to support the national medical teams in dealing with the corona pandemic, reports Al-Jarida daily quoting sources from the health sector. Sources disclosed this batch consists of 245 medical and nursing staff specialized in intensive care, anesthesia, chest diseases, respiratory diseases and infection control.

Sources affirmed the competent authorities in the Ministry of Health are completing procedures for the entry visas of this batch. Sources explained the recruitment process is completed through the ‘Lukum’ system, indicating the new batch of Pakistani medical and nursing staff will work in the country for three months, then their appointment will be extended for another three months; that is, if the ministry still needs their services in fighting against the virus.
