LOS ANGELES, Oct 14, (Agencies): Lauren Miller Rogen recently revealed a harrowing health experience at the UCLA Department of Neurosurgery Visionary Ball. In her speech, the wife of actor Seth Rogen shared her journey of dealing with a brain aneurysm removal, which took place last year.

Lauren's decision to undergo a full-body MRI five years ago stemmed from her concern about her family's history of dementia. She wanted to proactively investigate any potential threats to her health that could impact her longevity. During the screening, medical professionals discovered a small aneurysm in her brain that understandably filled her with fear.

The situation reminded her of her great-grandmother's fate, a path she was determined not to follow. Following her doctor's advice, she diligently attended annual MRIs to monitor the aneurysm's size. Initially, it remained stable, but eventually, in the spring of 2022, it started to grow.

With this alarming development, Lauren sought the expertise of Dr. Geoffrey Colby, a neurosurgeon at UCLA. Dr. Colby performed the necessary surgery to address the aneurysm. Lauren expressed her profound gratitude to him, his team, and the entire UCLA staff for guiding her through this challenging experience.

Lauren Miller Rogen expressed her immense relief that she won't be facing an untimely demise, a sentiment shared by those who care about her. Her commitment to raising awareness about brain health is deeply rooted in her family's experience. Her mother's early-onset Alzheimer's diagnosis at the age of 55 motivated her and her husband to establish Hilarity for Charity, a charitable organization with a mission to support families dealing with Alzheimer's, educate young individuals on maintaining brain health, and empower the next generation of advocates against Alzheimer's disease.
