KUWAIT CITY, Nov 24:  The General Department of Narcotics Control orchestrated a successful operation leading to the arrest of the liquor dealer in Farwaniya. Acting on received information suggesting the accused's involvement in the possession and smuggling of imported liquor, anti-drug officers meticulously conducted a search and investigation, confirming the accuracy of the intel before implementing a carefully planned ambush that resulted in the suspect's apprehension.

Upon confrontation with the confiscated items, the accused confessed to utilizing two trucks parked in the Hawalli area for storing a significant quantity of imported liquor intended for trading. Subsequent inspection of the trucks uncovered 569 cartons comprising 6,828 bottles of imported liquor, with an estimated market value surpassing half a million Kuwaiti dinars.

Both the arrested individual and the seized items are now in the process of being referred to the appropriate authorities to initiate the necessary legal proceedings against him.
