KUWAIT CITY, Aug 7: Personnel from the Farwaniya Governorate Research and Investigation Department have closed about 10 theft cases committed against expatriates by a seven-man Arab gang who have, after their arrest, confessed to the charges filed against them, reports Al-Anba daily. The daily added, the CID men have also taken in custody an Arab man who allegedly bought the stolen goods from the suspects. Most of the thefts were committed by the gang in the Farwaniya region.

A security source said after an investigation was opened into the incident, two men were caught redhanded and during interrogation they implicated five other men and admitted to sharing the money from the sale of the goods among them. The person who bought the phones from the suspect allegedly did not explain the reasons that prompted him to send the purchased phones to his home country to resell them, which leads to the belief that he was involved and aware that the phones sold to him were stolen.
