Security sweep: 3,273 traffic violations issued, 76 vehicles impounded

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 27: In a sweeping security operation conducted on Wednesday, January 24, 2023, the General Traffic Department demonstrated its commitment to road safety by deploying security personnel across all roads in every governorate. The extensive efforts led to the issuance of (3273) various traffic violations, the impoundment of (76) violating vehicles in the traffic impoundment garage, and the apprehension of two individuals by the traffic police. Furthermore, the operation successfully seized a wanted person and (7) wanted vehicles, while two individuals were referred to the Juvenile Investigation Department.

The Ministry of Interior has underscored the continued dedication of the General Traffic Department in executing such campaigns, emphasizing a zero-tolerance approach towards those who violate traffic regulations.
