KUWAIT CITY, July 13: Secondary stage teachers received their travel permits at the end of working hours last Thursday; leading to lack of correctors and observers for the second round of exams that will start on July 17 for the 10th and 11th Graders, reports Al-Rai daily quoting a source from the educational sector. The source revealed that the Examinations and Student Affairs units in the educational districts sent a circular to the secondary schools about the need for observers and correctors in the second round of exams for the 2021/2022 academic year.

The source said the units urged those willing to serve as observers and correctors to personally register at the Examinations and Student Affairs Unit in their respective educational districts. In some secondary schools, about 300 students will take the Mathematics exams; but no Mathematics teacher is available as everyone refused to take the assignment due to their travel reservations, the source disclosed. The source found it surprising that the districts delayed the issuance of the budget for teachers who will work as observers and correctors for the second round of exams for certain classes, stressing this is not the case for the 12th Grade exams.
