Sayyar Al-Enezi

Following the conclusion of the meeting, Al-Enezi expressed his gratitude in a phone call to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), highlighting the significance of this appointment in alignment with the continental federation's new statute. He currently heads the West Asian Federation for the sport.

Al-Enezi further revealed his plans to collaborate with Asian Confederation President Dahlan Al-Hamad, as well as other deputies and members of the Confederation's Board of Directors, to enhance competitions and championships within the federation. The aim is to elevate the standards of all Asian countries, considering the notable progress witnessed by teams across the continent in recent years.

His focus will particularly be on uplifting the member states in the western part of the continent, consisting of 12 countries. This will involve providing support to all components of the athletics system, including players, referees, coaches, and medical and administrative staff. Al-Enezi aims to achieve this by organizing a wide range of tournaments at the federation level for various age groups, thereby advancing the capabilities of male and female athletes.

Expressing admiration for Kuwaiti sports professionals both domestically and internationally, Al-Enezi also commended the contributions of Dahlan Al-Hamad, the President of the Asian Athletics Federation, in the development of athletics in Asia.

In closing, Al-Enezi expressed his gratitude to the General Assembly and all Council members for placing their trust in him to lead the federation in the forthcoming years. He emphasized that this position would serve as motivation to exert further efforts in achieving a significant advancement in the federation's operations.
