KUWAIT CITY, June 25: The Kuwait Society of Dermatologists (KSD) and Sanofi have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at improving dermatological care in Kuwait. This collaboration demonstrates a shared commitment to advancing healthcare standards and providing support systems for patients with skin conditions.

The MoU was signed in a formal ceremony by Dr Atlal Allafi, President of the Kuwait Society of Dermatologists, and Jean-Paul Scheuer, MCO Lead and General Manager for Specialty Care at SanofiGreater Gulf. Under the terms of the agreement, Sanofi and KSD will collaborate on several initiatives designed to elevate the standard of dermatological care in Kuwait: Training Programs: Implement training programs for primary care physicians based on curricula developed by leading dermatological associations.

These programs aim to enhance the skills and knowledge of healthcare professionals in managing various skin conditions.

Pharmacist Knowledge Enhancement: Upgrade pharmacists’ knowledge regarding recent trends in dermatological care, ensuring they are well-equipped to support patients with the latest information and treatments. Educational Sessions: Conduct educational sessions for nurses and educators, led by local and international dermatology experts, to keep them informed about the latest advancements in dermatological disease management. Patient Empowerment: Develop and distribute awareness materials designed to provide patients with the necessary tools to prevent and manage skin conditions effectively. Digital Solutions: Launch digital tools tailored for better management of dermatological diseases. These tools will facilitate remote patient monitoring and personalized treatment plans, enhancing patient care and outcomes.
