KUWAIT CITY, July 20: Salwa Al-Sabah Club President Sheikha Naima Al-Ahmad has announced that the club will host the West Asian Women's Clubs Volleyball Championship from December 1 to 14.

The announcement followed a meeting with Ali Al-Kuwari, President of the West Asian Volleyball Federation, held at the Salwa Club headquarters. Also present was the Federation’s Secretary-General, Mohammed Al-Kuwari.

Sheikha Naima expressed her pride in Salwa Club’s selection, stating:

“This is not the first time Salwa Club has hosted a continental championship. We have previously welcomed numerous events featuring clubs from the Gulf, the Arab world, Asia, and even international teams.”

She extended her gratitude to the Board of Directors of the West Asian Federation, led by Ali Al-Kuwari, for their trust in Salwa Club and for assigning it the responsibility of organizing this prestigious women’s tournament.

She emphasized the club’s readiness:

“Salwa Club and all its working committees are fully prepared to host this continental event. Our team has gained valuable experience through the successful organization of previous international tournaments across various sports.”

Sheikha Naima also confirmed that preparations for the championship are already underway to present an edition that reflects the highest standards of organization and competition.
