Sahel application gains trust of thousands of users; ‘Interior’ adds two more services

KUWAIT CITY, July 5: The Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology, Dr. Rana Al-Faris, said that the Sahel application has gained the trust of 584,666 users within 9 months, reports Al- Jarida daily.

Al-Faris added in a tweet on Twitter said 1,736,656 services were performed through the application during the mentioned period. She indicated that the application was launched on September 15, with 123 services, and now it has increased to 220, while the number of government agencies participating in the application has increased from 12 to 23.

In the meantime, the Public Relations and Security Media Department of the Ministry of Interior stated that as part of the efforts of the security institution to facilitate the citizens and residents, and to complement the services that have been automated, the Information Systems Department, in coordination with the Residence Affairs Sector, has added and activated two new and exclusive services on the Sahel application, reports Al-Jarida daily. The services include payment of fees for family joining their spouses and additional domestic labor fee payment service. These fees, the sponsor can now pay through Sahel with ease.
