KUWAIT CITY, March 28: The Saad Al Abdullah Academy for Security Sciences clinched the Warba Bank futsal League for Higher Education title, triumphing over the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training 3-2. The exhilarating match took place in the Sheikh Saad Al Abdullah Gymnasium Complex hall as part of the third sports tournament for higher education.

The event witnessed the presence of esteemed dignitaries including the Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs, the Minister of State for Youth Affairs, and the Minister of State for Communications Affairs, Daoud Marafi, alongside a plethora of officials from private and government universities and colleges, as well as leaders from the Saad Al-Abdullah Academy.

Fawaz Rashid Al-Rashed of the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training received the prestigious best player award of the league. Meanwhile, Musaed Ali Al-Mutairi, also from the Public Authority for Applied Education, secured the title of top scorer, and Youssef Ismail Ahmed of the International University of Science and Technology team was recognized as the league’s best goalkeeper.

Minister Marafi emphasized the significance of hosting the Higher Education Sports Games for the third consecutive year, providing a vital platform for male and female students to engage in sports within a competitive yet supportive environment. He commended the Kuwait School Sports Federation for its exceptional tournament organization, which witnessed widespread participation from youth across educational institutions and military colleges.

Highlighting the General Sports Authority’s steadfast support for such initiatives, the Minister of Youth underscored the importance of these sporting events in nurturing young talent and fostering a culture of athleticism. He extended congratulations to all the teams who excelled in the tournament.

Faisal Al-Maqseed expressed appreciation for Minister Marafi’s attendance at the culmination of the Warba Bank Futsal League, underscoring the government’s commitment to promoting sports activities among the youth and fostering a competitive spirit within a sports-centric environment.
