Russia produces coronavirus vaccine – Putin

MOSCOW, Aug 11: Russian President Vladimir Putin announced Tuesday Russia produced a vaccine against coronavirus, Covid-19.
Putin, speaking before a virtual government meeting, said a production line to produce the vaccine on a large scale would be operated soon, Russian TV reported.
He said vaccinations would be voluntary, and assured the citizens that the vaccine was safe and that one of his daughters took the medicine and “she is well.”
The Russian Ministry of Health, in a statement on its website, said the vaccination would secure a two-year immunity.
It said vaccinations of the public would begin early January.(KUNA)
