Rising temperature in Kuwait as a sign of the fast approaching summer season seem to have no impact on the badminton playing members of Republikang Sports sa Kuwait or RSK, as they gather at the wooden courts of Kazma Sports Club in Adailiya to smash it all out as they hold the 2nd week of its 20th badminton tournament and entitled “Fiesta Cup 2016” in line with the month of May, a month of festivities in the Philippines. Reaching another high of 212 slots, RSK Badminton morning division categories are team event and doubles categories for level C & D players.

The afternoon games on the other hand are still all doubles categories in all levels A, B, C, & D players. Aside from said categories, RSK also has the “Summer Camp” by its Kids Club designed for kids from 5 years old and above and aims to equip kids at early the necessary discipline, skills, exercises, attitude and other know-how applicable to their age. The summer camp will have duration of 8 weeks, after which a kids’ tournament shall be held on the last week. With its mission of helping OFWs and Expats attain physical fitness through quality sports, “Fiesta Cup” 4-week tournament promises to be yet another exciting and fun tourney as revealed by RSK’s Chairman Felix Besanez.

He also announced that RSK has also commenced regular tournament of another sport division (volleyball) which is being held simultaneously but at the opposite gym. Badminton results and ranking will be posted on the group’s website at www. rsksports.org and in the group’s Facebook group — RSK Sports — Badminton and the group’s Facebook page — RSK — Republika ng Sports sa Kuwait.
