RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, Nov 15, (Agencies): The inaugural European Music Week kicked off in Riyadh on Saturday, captivating audiences with a diverse lineup of talented artists. Running until November 20 at the Saudi Music Hub, the week-long event features nightly performances beginning at 8 p.m., all of which are free of charge, promising a week filled with captivating musical experiences.

Hailing from Portugal, Denmark, Spain, Germany, France, Italy, Estonia, Greece, and the Netherlands, the concerts showcase the rich musical tapestry of Europe. The event is a collaborative effort between the embassies of EU member states, the Saudi Music Commission, and the Saudi Music Hub.

Among the already featured performances are Almanata from Portugal, Louise Tuxen from Denmark, the Arcis Saxophon Quartett from Germany, and France’s Cynthia Queenton. On Wednesday, the spotlight will turn to Italy’s La Societa dei Concerti di Milano, while Saturday's stage will be graced by Marianna G and her band.

In addition to enjoying the musical performances, event attendees have the opportunity to participate in two complimentary workshops. The first workshop, led by a traditional Estonian folk band, offers a unique insight into Estonian musical traditions. The second workshop, hosted by the Rembrandt Frerichs trio from the Netherlands, provides an engaging session with the performers, adding an interactive dimension to the European Music Week experience.
