KUWAIT CITY, Aug 11: The total increase in the salary of a cleaner is KD 15 retroactively, under five cleaning contracts of the Ministry of Education, which amounts to a total of about KD 6 million, reports Al-Anba daily. The Central Agency for Public Tenders (CAPT) approved a request for an increase of KD 15 in the wage of one worker from the beginning of April 2019 until May 1, 2022. This amounts to a total of KD 960,930 for the contract No. 85 of the tender for the implementation and supply of cleaning and services work in the Capital Education Zone.

It has also been agreed to increase the wage by the same value for each worker under the contract in Ahmad Educational Zone from June 1, 2017 to May 1, 2022, amounting to a total of up to KD 1.77 million. In Hawally and Jahra educational zones, the total increase was about KD 1.166 million for the period from June 1, 2017 to March 1, 2022. In Mubarak Al-Kabeer Educational Zone, the total increase for the period from June 1, 2017 to March 1, 2022 amounted to about KD 933,900.
