Renew registration without technical test: GTD

KUWAIT CITY, March 16: The General Traffic Department has called on vehicle owners whose vehicle registration books are reaching the end of validity date to renew the insurance papers without conducting technical inspection at the General Traffic Department for the time being until the end of the work suspension period and launch of work in all sectors of the state.

The department affirmed that this decision was taken to protect the right of the road users in case of traffic accidents.

Meanwhile, the General Traffic Department, in the last 24 hours, issued 312 citations for violation of not wearing seatbelts while driving, and 134 citations for the use of mobile phones while driving. It declared that such traffic campaigns will continue to deal with violators of traffic rules and regulations.
