Registration for global robotics competition opens in Estonia

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 25: The Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity, affiliated with the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, has officially opened registrations for the upcoming International Robotics Competition scheduled to take place in Tallinn, Estonia, from November 17 to 18.

Nada Abdullah Al-Daihani, the center’s director-general, said, “The Sabah Al-Ahmad Center is delighted to announce the commencement of registration for talented and innovative Kuwaitis who wish to participate in the qualifying rounds of this prestigious international event. Registration is available for Kuwaitis aged between 14 and 15, of all genders, starting from Sept 25 (today) until October 3, 2023. Interested individuals can register through the link provided on the center’s Instagram page @SACGC_kw.”

Al-Daihani further elaborated saying “Participation in such events aligns with the center’s ongoing commitment to inspire and support students, refine their skills, expand their knowledge in the field of robotics, and nurture a culture of innovation and creativity. It also seeks to leverage the advancement of robotic science and technology.”

Al-Daihani said the center will conduct essential training courses to prepare and equip participating teams, providing guidance on designing, constructing, programming, and managing robots. This preparation will enable the teams to engage in challenges with counterparts from various countries. The top 3 teams will be selected from the qualifying participants to represent Kuwait in this esteemed global competition.
