KUWAIT CITY, Sept 28: The Court of Appeals upheld the verdict issued by the Family Court that obligated a Kuwaiti citizen to pay his wife a monthly amount of KD 450 as alimony, children’s support, maid’s salary, and the rent for a babysitter’s residence, as well as make a one-time payment of KD 500 to furnish the babysitter’s residence.

According to the case files, the legal counsel representing the wife Lawyer Inam Haider demanded in her claim statement to prove her client’s custody of her children from her husband and to oblige him not to dispute her in this matter and to pay her previous spousal support of both types, starting from the date he refrained from spending on her, and to make it continuous. Lawyer Haider also requested the court to oblige the husband to pay her maintenance of both types for their children from the date of filing the lawsuit, make it continuous, and oblige him to provide a car or pay for it in cash, even monthly installments, within the limits of KD 5,000, as well as pay the maid’s monthly salary continuously, and the expenses for recruiting the maid and a babysitter, and the rent of the babysitter’s residence continuously every month.
