KUWAIT CITY, Aug 1: The Ministry of Interior stated that a traffic enforcement campaign using mobile radar devices on the Mutlaa Residential City Road resulted in 225 traffic violations and the arrest of eight individuals, including wanted persons.
In a press release issued by the General Department of Public Relations and Security Media, the ministry stated that five juveniles were arrested for driving without a license. One individual wanted on arrest warrants was apprehended, while two others were placed in precautionary detention. Additionally, seven vehicles were impounded due to traffic violations.
The ministry emphasized that the campaign was part of its ongoing efforts to apprehend violators and enforce the law equally and without exception. Daily traffic campaigns are being conducted across all governorates, with a focus on areas experiencing heavy traffic or frequent serious violations.
Authorities stressed that there will be zero tolerance for individuals who endanger their own lives and the lives of others on the road. The ministry urged all drivers to strictly follow traffic laws, pay attention to warning signals and signs, and contribute to a safer driving environment.
The primary goal of these campaigns, the ministry concluded, is prevention—fostering a culture of legal compliance, responsibility, and respect for road safety regulations.
