KUWAIT CITY, June 21: The eighth and final quarterfinal matches of the 57th Kuwait Handball Federation Cup will wrap up today at the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Sports Complex.

Kazma is set to take on Sulaibikhat at 5:00 pm, followed by Burgan vs. Qadsia at 6:30 pm.

Kazma, last season’s league runner-up and Group B leader, was exempted from the preliminary round due to its strong performance. Sulaibikhat earned its place in the quarterfinals after defeating Al-Arabi 32-29, while Burgan advanced with a 35-33 win over Khaitan. Qadsia secured its spot by beating Fahaheel 33-24.

The semifinals, scheduled for next Wednesday, will feature two matchups:

The winner of Kuwait vs. Al-Qurain will face the winner of Yarmouk vs. Al-Salmiya.

The winners of today’s matches (Kazma vs. Sulaibikhat and Burgan vs. Qadsia) will meet in the other semifinal.

In a previous meeting during the merger league, Burgan edged Qadsia 27-26. That win helped Burgan secure qualification for the Premier League, while Qadsia went on to compete in the First Division.
