KUWAIT CITY, April 29: An official from the Embassy of the United States of America in Kuwait revealed a set of serious measures that have been implemented for combating the spread of coronavirus among the US nationals residing in Kuwait as well as the military and civilian personnel working in US facilities.

The official explained that all American military and civilian personnel arriving in Kuwait should observe the quarantine period before starting work in American facilities or interacting with others.

The US authorities have restricted movements of military and civilian personnel in the Arifjan Camp in coordination with Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense.

The camps are ready to receive any confirmed or suspected cases of COVID-19 among the American military officers. Regarding the report published about a company operating inside the camp that is smuggling a group of its workers abroad despite their contact with a COVID-19 case, the official said the investigation is still open and ongoing with the cooperation of Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Interior.

He indicated that every company that obtained the approval of Ministry of Defense to provide services to the American Army must abide by the rules and guidelines set in coordination with the Kuwait government
