Bahrain, Iraq tied 0-0 in FIFA Arab Cup '21 in Qatar

DOHA, Dec 3: Qatar beat Oman by 2-1 goals in Group A, advancing to the quarterfinals of the FIFA Arab Cup 2021 held in Doha. The Qatari goals were scored in the 32 and 97 minutes of the match, while Oman scored its sole goal in the 74 minute. Qatar tops Group A and advances to the quarterfinal of the tournament.

Iraq holds second position in the group with two points followed by Oman and Bahrain with one each. The third round next Monday will see Oman meeting Bahrain and Qatar facing Iraq. The tournament, held until December 18, sees the participation of 16 teams under the umbrella of FIFA.

Earlier Bahrain national football team tied with its Iraqi counterpart, Friday, with no goals in the second round of the first group match in the FIFA Arab Cup 2021, Qatar. The Iraqi team, ranked second in the group, gained two points, as Qatar leads with three points, while Oman came third with one point and Bahrain fourth with one point as well. Qatar and Oman will be meeting later today at Qatar's Education City Stadium as a part of the competition in the same group. The tournament, hosted by Doha until December 18th, includes 16 participating teams under the supervision of FIFA. (KUNA)
